Adventure Watersports is a small owner operated boat rental business in existence since 1985.
We are open from 9:00am to 6:00pm seven days a week from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day. We take reservations for rentals starting at 10:00am, or at any time, if the rental is two hours or more, because we always know when our rentals are returning to the dock, we are happy to make a reservation for the returning boat at the time of it’s arrival.
We expect you, or someone in your party to have some boating experience, meaning you or your crew have owned or operated an outboard powered boat some time in the past. It is very helpful to be able to read a nautical chart and have a basic understanding of the marine rules of the road. Often our customer’s docking skills are a little rusty, we make an effort to help you off and on the dock…the secret to success around the docks is go as slow as possible.
We do not expect our customers to have a lot of detailed local knowledge, we provide a nautical chart of our operating area, which you take with you. We have a fairly large operating area with boundaries, on the East Passage of Narragansett Bay from Hammersmith Farm on the south, under the Newport Bridge to Gould Island and the Navy Base on the north, including all of Newport Harbor, Brenton Cove and the Point section. If you have a desire to exceed the limits of our operating area, have detailed local knowledge and experience on Narragansett Bay, bring your own nautical chart covering your route, you are welcome to go where ever you want.
